Mental/Behavioral Health and Other “Wrap Around” Support Services Available…

Are you struggling with depression, addiction, or needing some other kind of support services? Restoration Ministries of Greater Cleveland, Inc., through a collaborative effort with the Cleveland Baptist Association and Murtis Taylor Human Services System, is now able to assist individuals with gaining access to mental health care and other support services. Murtis Taylor Human Services System is a county-wide United Way charitable organization that provides Behavioral Health, Addiction, Youth, Family, and Senior Services.

R.E.A.C.H.

In the fall of 2022, Restoration Ministries of Greater Cleveland was awarded a $15,000 Palmer Grant, from the American Baptist Foundation to launch a new community youth outreach program, R.E.A.C.H. 

The acronym stands for Restoration, Education, Advocacy, Collaboration and Hope.

Beyond the Stained Glass Ceiling Endowment for African American Female Pastors…

In 2019, Restoration Ministries of Greater Cleveland, Inc., “seeded” an endowment of $70,000 with American Baptist Home Missions Societies. The “Beyond the Stained Glass Ceiling Endowment,” was established to offer grants to African American Female Senior pastors of small congregations (300 or less). Recently, ABHMS launched a dedicated donations page for the endowment… Below is a portion of the site’s wording…

Support Beyond the Stained-glass Ceiling Endowment Fund

The Rev. Chris Smith had a vision of providing support to African-American women ministers who were leading small congregations, many struggling financially. Buoyed by this prophetic calling, Smith authored her groundbreaking book,  “Beyond the Stained-glass Ceiling: Equipping and Encouraging Female Pastors” (Judson Press, 2013).

Restoration Ministries of Greater Cleveland Inc., the church pastored by Smith, has established a $70,000 endowed gift with American Baptist Home Mission Societies that will support at least two African-American female pastors yearly who serve congregations of 300 or fewer members as senior solo pastor…

“Healthy Temples: Supporting Healthy Minds, Bodies and Spirits:” 

A special series of workshops and events designed to educate community members on healthy eating and living practices as well as to offer bags of fresh produce to class participants. Collaborative partners in the past have included the Cleveland Clinic, Simon’s Grocery Store, Ohio SNAP-Ed and the Cuyahoga County Board of Health.

Common Ground

Common Ground is an initiative of the  Cleveland Foundation, designed to draw communities together through intentional conversations. The Foundation states,  “United by a common question, all Common Ground conversations have the same goal: to create spaces where meaningful connections are made and purposeful actions begin.” In 2018 our ministry began to participate in Common Ground, along with other community members to address food insecurity in Cuyahoga County. Today, Restoration Ministries serves as a Common Ground conversation host, with conversations scheduled throughout the year. The goal is for the conversations to lead to strategies to address issued raised.

Project Hope for the Homeless:  Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets provided

National and International Missions Support: Restoration Ministries joins with our denominational partners to offer monetary support to address community and individual needs, as well as national and international support during disasters and other times of critical need.

The Euclid Chamber of Commerce offers businesses and organizations throughout the Greater Euclid, Ohio area, the opportunity to share information about their products and services, while learning how all can benefit from the network. It is a WONDERFUL community organization.
